Vector Software has added dynamic testing to the CrossWorks integrated development environment for Texas Instrument’s MSP430.

The firm specialises in software testing for safety and mission-critical embedded applications: automotive, aerospace, medical devices, industrial controls and rail, for example.

Its tool, VectorCast, aids testing at the unit, integration, and system level.

The runtime support package (VectorCast/RSP) enables testing of real-time applications directly in an embedded target or simulator, working with VectorCast/C++.

CrossWorks, from Rowley Associates, includes an ANSI C compiler, macro assembler, linker/locator, libraries, core simulator, flash downloader, JTAG debugger, and Rowley’s integrated development environment, CrossStudio.
